The main purpose of the Learn•Earth partners units is for use during assessments.

The units of learning outcomes can be individually assessed, within either formal or informal or non-formal training environments. ???

In addition to the units, ECVET Earth building gives training providers and trainers a toolkit for training and assessment in several European languages.

Achieveing the learning outcomes of a unit is recognised by a Learn•Earth Certificate issued by Learn•Earth partners who have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to that purpose.

For the moment, the Learn•Earth certificates are not recognised within the national qualification frameworks, except in UK.

Strategies have been set in place to progressively get the ECVET Earth building units integrated and recognised in national qualifications of other countries.

Within mobility exchange programmes, one or several units can be directly used in the learning agreement to describe the learning outcomes to be achieved during mobility and the assessment.
